Dear Residents of Beckett Crossing,
Since January 2024, we have received several complaints from our residents about homeowners allowing short-term rentals (as short as nightly rentals) in our community. As you know, Beckett Crossing prides itself on being a sought-after neighborhood that offers a quiet and peaceful place to live for our residents. While short term rentals offer homeowners opportunities for income, they also increase occupancy turnover that may negatively affect residential cohesion.
To respond to expressed concerns, we would like your feedback on this matter. Please take a moment to take this 1-minute survey. You can access it directly here.
The results of the survey will inform a ballot that will be mailed to each home. Completion of this ballot will be a formal vote on whether to amend our covenants to restrict short term rentals.
Thank you,
Beckett Crossing HOA
Board of Directors
November 28, 2023 Greetings Beckett Crossing Homeowners and Residents, As discussed at the 2022 and 2023 annual meetings, dues will increase by 12% in January, marking the second of five planned increases. The increase builds our reserves for maintenance and refurbishment of the pool, and ensures adequate funding for landscaping and yard waste removal services. Quarterly dues for 2024 will be $173. Residents with auto-draft will need to update their settings. We are looking for individuals who are interested in serving on HOA committees. Bring your skills and talents to the architecture, IT, communications, social, landscaping, and pool committees. Please reach out to learn more. The board will meet during the first week of February, May, and August (exact dates tbd). We welcome you to contribute discussion items and/or your attendance at the meetings. Please contact the board if you would like to participate. Best, 2023-2024 HOA Board [email protected] |
