An Update on Short-Term Housing

March 13, 2024

Dear Residents of Beckett Crossing,

Since January 2024, we have received several complaints from our residents about homeowners allowing short-term rentals (as short as nightly rentals) in our community. As you know, Beckett Crossing prides itself on being a sought-after neighborhood that offers a quiet and peaceful place to live for our residents. While short term rentals offer homeowners opportunities for income, they also increase occupancy turnover that may negatively affect residential cohesion.

To respond to expressed concerns, we would like your feedback on this matter. Please take a moment to take this 1-minute survey. You can access it directly here.

The results of the survey will inform a ballot that will be mailed to each home. Completion of this ballot will be a formal vote on whether to amend our covenants to restrict short term rentals.

Thank you,

Beckett Crossing HOA

An Update from the Beckett Crossing HOA Board

November 28, 2023

Greetings Beckett Crossing Homeowners and Residents,

As discussed at the 2022 and 2023 annual meetings, dues will increase by 12% in January, marking the second of five planned increases. The increase builds our reserves for maintenance and refurbishment of the pool, and ensures adequate funding for landscaping and yard waste removal services. Quarterly dues for 2024 will be $173. Residents with auto-draft will need to update their settings.

We are looking for individuals who are interested in serving on HOA committees. Bring your skills and talents to the architecture, IT, communications, social, landscaping, and pool committees. Please reach out to learn more.

The board will meet during the first week of February, May, and August (exact dates tbd). We welcome you to contribute discussion items and/or your attendance at the meetings. Please contact the board if you would like to participate.

Best,
2023-2024 HOA Board

Bingo Night & Food Truck

Come on down to the pool for a Family Bingo Night hosted by the Millers!

There will be five rounds of Bingo, one card per family, with prizes to win each round! Bingo will start at 6:00pm.

Cousins Maine Lobster food truck will be in the pool parking lot from 5-7. Pre-order through their app (will send out a week in advance) or order at the window.

No need to participate in Bingo in order to enjoy the food truck. That being said, it will be a blast, so you should all come play!

2023 Summer Pool Party!

July 8th from 12:00pm to 3:00pm

Join us on Saturday, July 8th for some fun in the sun! Although we didn’t have a party to kick-off the pool season, we are still excited to celebrate another great summer with all of our neighbors.

Head to the pool for noon to grab a spot and put in a lunch order with Trash Talk Food Truck, here from 12-2pm. Pelican’s Snocones will be on-site selling tasty treats from 12:30-1:30. Enjoy live music and pool games with DJ Ones, who will be spinning beats from 1-3pm.

Hope to see you all there! If you have any questions, please reach out to the social committee: [email protected] or message Cori Washington on Facebook.
